This existing home had been the recipient of various unsympathetic additions and interior remodeling during its lifetime. The primary goal of the new Owner's was to restore the original character of the home on both the exterior and interior, while adding on a new family room and converting the rear covered entry into a laundry room.

The goal of restoring the character to the exterior of the house was achieved by installing new half-timbered board details with the appropriate scale, configuration, and brackets to visually support the second story overhang, replacing deteriorated copper roofing and gutters, adding true leaded glass windows at the second floor bay window and first floor powder room, and adding a new limestone door surround and substantial stained wood front door which provided balance to the base of the house.
