Located in Chicago's primary loft district, this architecturally
significant building co-exists with colorful open air markets and the
lively Greek restaurants and nightclubs along Halsted Street.
The facade is designed to be reminiscent of an historic Soho loft building,
and fits comfortably in with the scale and character of the surrounding
urban context. The all-masonry exterior features extensive brick detailing
and a limestone base which is in harmony with many of the surrounding
buildings built after the turn of the century. The clean detailing of
the metalwork found in the suspended balconies and metal spandrel panels
harkens back to the industrial roots of the site and surrounding neighborhood.
The building provides 1,721 square feet of street-front commercial space
at the first floor level, along with 19 parking spaces accommodated on
portions of the first floor and lower levels.
The upper floors of the building provide a total of 15 residential condominiums,
offering a variety of two-bedroom floor plans, all with direct access
to private balcony/roof terrace areas. Each unit has one assigned indoor
parking space which can be accessed directly via the elevator and secure
stair tower.
