PROJECT DESCRIPTION

As a branch of Lake Forest Bank & Trust, this new two story masonry structure serves as a community-based banking facility to the existing Highwood community and newly formed Fort Sheridan neighborhood. Exterior forms, materials and details are drawn in part from the rich historical context throughout adjacent Fort Sheridan. The main level houses commercial banking areas as well as a community room intended for gatherings of local community organizations. The second floor consists of office spaces and conference rooms for the Lending Department. Lower level spaces include the main vault, toilet rooms, employee spaces and mechanical spaces.

Throughout, the facility is richly appointed with stained cherry doors and millwork, stone floors and wainscotting in lobby and conference areas, custom window treatments and patterned wall paper. Along with landscaping and paving throughout the site, this new building in downtown Highwood is a welcome addition for many in the community.
