This home is located in the historic district of the prestigious Pacific Heights neighborhood in San Francisco. Perched on the hillside, it has a commanding view of the Bay including the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz island.

Work on this project provided a new and expanded master bedroom suite on the second floor; a large entertaining kitchen on the third floor open to the dining and living rooms so that the magnificent view can be enjoyed from every space; and the addition of a fourth level with a bar providing access to a rooftop deck with hot tub.

Other special design features include: a wine bar adjacent to the dining room that afford dinner guests a view of wines to be selected from the glass front wine cooler as well as the display niches for bottles of significance that have been enjoyed over the years; the master bath was also designed to take advantage of the views from under the canopy whirlpool tub or from the glassy steam shower.

Overall the home was designed by looking back with respect to the architectural history of the neighborhood and looking forward to optimize the livability and amenities this prime location offers.
